Hachiryuhai

Hachiryuhai
A special hand-crafted sake originally brewed by the Moriyama Brewery, founded more than 300 years ago in what is now Aichi prefecture, and recreated by RiceWine in Kanagawa prefecture. The young brewers have reproduced the weather conditions of Aichi inside a refrigerated warehouse, which also allows them to brew all year round. A result of both traditional sake-making and cutting-edge innovation.
TYPE: Junmai sake
COLOUR: Clear pale lemon green
OUR TASTING NOTES: Gentle nose of honey, gooseberry, white grapes, vanilla. This is a refreshing sake with balanced acidity, and the juicy fruitiness of star fruit and kiwi. Recommended to Sauvignon Blanc lovers. Warming it up brings out more lactic notes of condensed milk with underlying honey and caramel.
FOOD PAIRING: Grilled sole; pan fried scallops; Thai green curry. When warmed up, try pairing it with bread and butter pudding.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Serve well chilled (4-8 ºC) or warmed up (40-50 ºC)
STORAGE: Store in a dry and cool place. Avoid direct sunlight.
