A spirit distilled from grains, mainly barley, rye, corn, and wheat. It usually undergoes an ageing period that varies in length according to the region where it is produced and the type of drink the distillers are looking for. “Single malt/grain” whiskies are produced in one single distillery, while “blended” ones are the result of mixing of barrels from different distilleries.
