Awamori- Okinawa’s Iconic Spirit

The oldest distilled alcoholic drink in Japan with more than 500 years of history. Compared to sake or shochu which are made from yellow koji or white koji, awamori is made from black koji so has a wide range of flavours, from caramel to fruity to nutty. It is easy drinking, smooth, slightly savoury and has a complex finish.
