Craftsman Tada Sleep of the Moon

Craftsman Tada Sleep of the Moon
This barley shochu has been aged in barrels previously used to produce kijoshu, an intensely rich and sweet type of sake made by replacing part of the water used in the brewing process with more sake. The resulting aroma is a combination of the fragrance typical of barley shochu and that of the kijoshu wooden barrels. The flavour reflects this complex aroma in perfect harmony.
TYPE: Aged barley (mugi) shochu
COLOUR: Clear pale lemon green
OUR TASTING NOTES: Gentle notes of American oak on the nose: vanilla, custard, creamed corn, a hint of nutmeg. On the palate, it has dates, sticky toffee pudding, amaretto, roasted caramel nuts with a velvety texture and a long eternal finish. A perfect shochu for the holiday season.
FOOD PAIRING: Cheese board; grilled turkey or game; Sunday roast. The distiller recommends pairing it with rich dishes that contain buttery/creamy sauces or with food full of sweetness and umami, like nuts and dry fruits.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Enjoy straight, with ice, or in highballs.
STORAGE: Store in a dry and cool place. Avoid direct sunlight.
