Mifuku Nihonshujikomi Umeshu

Mifuku Nihonshujikomi Umeshu
This umeshu is made with plums from Shiga prefecture, carefully pickled over the summer in junmai sake previously matured in a cellar for a long period. The use of this sake gives the umeshu an extremely smooth texture and an intense taste.
TYPE: Plum sake (umeshu)
COLOUR: Pale pink gold
OUR TASTING NOTES: Bright aromas of apricot, marzipan, candied plum. Its sweetness reminds of plum and peach compote, while its balanced acidity works beautifully. A light and fruity umeshu with a nutty finish.
FOOD PAIRING: Dark chocolate covered nuts; cheesecake; raspberry sorbet; enjoy it as pudding on its own.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Serve well chilled (4-8 ºC). Enjoy it straight, with ice, mixed with a dash of soda water in summer or with a little hot water in the winter time.
STORAGE: Store in a dry and cool place. Avoid direct sunlight.
