Yamagata Masamune Torotoro Umeshu

Yamagata Masamune Torotoro Umeshu
This lusciously thick umeshu has an unconventional 'torotoro' creaminess given by the generous amount of fruit pulp, which makes it ever more perfect as a dessert wine. It is made with Nanko plums and with the brewery's own sake.
TYPE: Plum sake (umeshu)
COLOUR: Dark orange with visible fruit pulp
OUR TASTING NOTES: Sweet nose of nectarines. It is extremely viscous and thick, like a peach smoothie. This is a rich style of umeshu with fresh shiso leaves and orange marmalade notes.
FOOD PAIRING: Sorbet; mochi ice cream
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Slowly turn the bottle upside down a few times until the pulp sediments are mixed evenly. Serve with ice, mixed with soda or with sparkling sake. The sake itself makes a perfect sorbet, or can be enjoyed poured over shaved ice (kakegori), yoghurt or your favourite ice cream.
STORAGE: Store in a dry and cool place. Avoid direct sunlight.
